Logistics Coordinator

The position involves a combination of purchasing, warehouse and export management.

The Logistics Coordinator will be supporting the different projects for all Supply Chain activities, ranging from purchase orders, logistics, income inspection, supplier follow-up, warehousing, and export control.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Purchasing:

·        Procure materials and services through competitive bidding in accordance with company policies activities at the most advantageous and high-quality manner;

·        Drives cost reductions and look for cost savings by negotiating price, terms, and related issues with vendors;

·        Manages order delivery schedules and suppliers’ performance to ensure on-time delivery to support internal production;

·        Obtain and evaluate quotes to prepare accurate cost estimates and determine most desirable suppliers;

·        Function as liaison between Celestia Antwerp and suppliers;

·        Resolves problems related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, and payment to the supplier, determines source of the problem and takes  appropriate corrective action;

·        Requests quotes, places orders and actively monitors the delivery times;

·        Communicates and synchronizes with the different project and department managers;

·        Ensuring the flow of goods through efficient process planning;

·        Monitoring stock levels and ensuring timely replenishment;

·        Organizing and maintaining the lab environment, keeping colleagues informed about new equipment, ensuring timely calibration of test instruments according to project planning, and monitoring the safe use of all lab equipment.

·        Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Warehousing:

·        Coordinating incoming and outgoing goods flows;

·        Receiving, inspection, and stocking of orders;

·        Shipment and insurance of deliveries;

·        Plans, organizes, and manages daily operations of the warehouse;

·        Manages the stock inventory;

·        Monitor and analyze warehouse performance to identify areas for improvement;

·        Manages the safety data sheets.

Export:

·        Application and reporting on export permits;

·        Intrastat declaration.

Qualifications and Experience:

·        Experience with Supply Chain tasks;

·        Fluent in English; Multilingual is a plus;

·        Accurate

·        Affinity with electronics or equivalent through experience;

·        Motivated, team player, dynamic, sense of ownership and commitment.
